Menstrual Hygiene & Period Poverty in Nigeria
In Nigeria, millions of adolescent girls miss school every month because they cannot afford sanitary pads. We are ending that.
Our menstrual hygiene initiative addresses period poverty in Nigeria through three pillars: free distribution of sanitary products to girls and women in underserved communities, menstrual health education in schools and community spaces, and advocacy for environments where periods are managed with dignity - not shame.

Maternal Health for Nigerian Women - Postpartum Care and Support
The weeks after birth are among the most critical - and in many Nigerian communities, among the most unsupported.
Our postpartum support program provides nursing mothers with maternal health education, mental health awareness, nutrition guidance, and access to essential care resources - because maternal health for Nigerian women does not end at delivery.

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Nigeria

We deliver sexual and reproductive health education across Nigeria - covering family planning, safe motherhood, STI prevention, and reproductive rights - in language that is clear, respectful, and relevant to the women we serve.

Free Health Outreach and Medical Missions
For millions of Nigerians, a hospital visit is not a choice - it is a barrier. We remove that barrier.
ENAE Foundation organises free health outreach campaigns, community screenings, and medical missions focused on maternal, neonatal, and child health - bringing healthcare professionals directly into underserved communities across Nigeria.

Child Nutrition and Maternal Wellness in Nigeria

Our nutrition and wellness programs target both maternal and child malnutrition in Nigeria - equipping mothers with practical nutritional guidance and connecting families to the resources they need for healthier lives.

Hygiene Education and Disease Prevention

We deliver personal hygiene education to women and children across Nigeria - working in schools, orphanages, community groups, and faith-based settings to build health-protecting behaviours that last a lifetime.

Community Health Worker Training and Capacity Building

ENAE Foundation trains community health workers, volunteers, caregivers, and mothers through practical workshops - building lasting local capacity to protect the health of women and children long after our teams have moved on.

Counselling and Psychosocial Support
Health vulnerability rarely travels alone. When a woman's health suffers, her mental and emotional wellbeing suffers too. We address both.
ENAE Foundation provides counselling, referral, and psychosocial support services - creating safe, confidential spaces and clear pathways to professional care for women and children experiencing health-related hardship.

Menstrual Hygiene and Sensitisation Project, Jikwoyi Phase 1, Abuja
ENAE Foundation's first implemented project engaged the Esu of Jikwoyi in a stakeholder engagement session to advocate for government-private collaboration on making menstrual pads free. The project distributed free menstrual pads to over 100 girls, adolescents, and women under 30.

Period poverty refers to the inability to afford sanitary products, which forces many adolescent girls in Nigeria to miss school or use unsafe alternatives. ENAE Foundation addresses this through free sanitary product distribution, community stakeholder engagement, and menstrual health education.
What maternal health support does ENAE Foundation offer?▼

Yes. Rural, indigenous, and low-income communities are our primary focus. We bring health outreach, medical missions, and direct support to communities across Nigerian states where access to formal healthcare is most limited.
